Beach Cruisers and Bikes

Biking on Cape Cod is a summer tradition!  Stay off the most heavily travelled roads, and instead try the Cape Cod Rail Trail.  The state paved an enormous span of abandoned railway tracks and turned them into a long and beautiful bike path that runs along much of the Cape.  In our area, the bike trail travels throughout Chatham, Harwich, and neighboring Brewster.  Stop for ice cream or lunch at various snack shacks (our favorite is Guapos in Brewster), take a break and swim at some of the trailside ponds, and explore.

Adventure Chatham has a number of rental bikes, mostly comfort cruisers from Jamis Hudson and Hampton Cruisers.  Cruiser bikes offer casual seaside style and performance. A great choice for riding the Cape Rail Trail, commuting to the beach from your rental cottage, or leisurely cruising Main Street shops. The classic "retro" look, reliable mechanical performance and comfortable ride have made these a West Coast staple.

The Route 137 parking lot for the Cape Cod Rail Trail is exactly one mile from our store! Leave your car at our facility and bike to the trail, or we can deliver bikes there for you at a scheduled time. Or, take them to your vacation rental and explore the Cape at your leisure with a multi-day rental!
